Fulani has velvety, lustrous, silky fleece. Her conformation is excellent and bite correct. We have never trimmed her teeth. She has a beautiful presence and a pretty face. `
Her mother, Spanish Peaks Madison Avenue, is a prize true black breeding dam. At a fleece seminar Ruth Elvestad noted Madison's fleece as the "type we should all be breeding for". The Canadian Fine Fibreworks told us that Madison's fleece was the most beautiful black they had ever seen and requested to purchase her future fleeces. Her cria co-efficient of variation is 11.
Fulani's father, Penumbra, has sired numerous champion crias. His dense, uniform fleece combined with Madison's silky, soft handling fleece have given Fulani lovely fleece characteristics. She has placed first in both spinoffs entered.
She is sweet, easy to handle and comes from a lineage of good mothers with lots of milk, who are easily bred and birth without assistance. She has strong black lineage.
Nova's Black Knight III is a magnificant true black male, one of the finest sons of his multi-champion father, Snowmass Nova. His strong black and grey genetics are amplified by his ancestry - Bueno, Snowmass Peruvian Casanova, Drambuie, Zorro PC 188, and Black Knight PC G222 (the latter being two of the finest black males to be imported into the U.S.). His fleece excels in density, lack of prime fleece guard hair, character, and uniformity, not to mention his remarkable fiber bundling, very unusual for a black with his fineness.

Sara is the beautiful, silky black daughter of Nova's Black Knight III. She is a powerhouse of genetics, with ancestors including Drambuie, Bueno, Snowmass Peruvian Casanova, Snowmass Nova, Peruvian Cahuide, the original Black Knight and Zorro (two of the nicest blacks ever to be imported), Pperuvian Felix, Outback Gold. She comes from a line of black females known for their reproductive vigor and health. We have owned 4 generations of Sara's female ancestors, and they have been excellent mothers with plentiful milk and vigorous offspring.
Sara has solid conformation, and we have never had to trim her teeth. Her mother, Fulani, won blue ribbons in both spinoffs and 2nd place in her only fleece show. Sara's fleece is bright, very dense, with no visible guard hairs, and soft handling. She has a very mellow temperament and is easily handled. Sara was not shown, as she was born in Dec., and once old enough for a show was boarded over the winter, and then bred in the spring.
Sara is the perfect foundation dam for a black or grey breeding program. She recently delivered a beautiful black male cria out of Andean Night, who is one of Snowmass Alpacas royal production studs. His crias are outstanding, and this little boy shows great promise. We currently have a 4 month old daughter from this amazing herdsire, and her cria fleece is the nicest we have seen in any color.
