| | | Brown-Eyed Susan, also known as "QQ", is a striking alpaca. She is a pattern with beautiful markings, a solid blanket w/ tons of volume and excellent staple length. Suzie has complete coverage from nose to toes. Suzie's fiber placed 2nd in the Fiber Spin-Off at the 2004 Mid-America Alpaca Show, and the judge commented on her "very nice lock structure and luster". Suzie's blanket was spun into a beautiful yarn full of brightness; the master weaver who purchased it simply loved everything about it.
Suzie is a mature female now, with an engaging personality. She is a proven dam, showing she is exactly what we like in our foundation gals: a great milker, a doting dam, and a producer of quality & color. Her 07' cria, from Strider of the Shire, is a jet black male with white accents. He is strong, solid, exceptionally well covered in crimpy soft black fleece and so stylish. He has placed 2nd thus far in two competitive halter shows in the true black classes.

| | | Peruvian X Gregor is exactly what we were looking for in a brown male. He has the conformation and style that says "stud", along with the fleece we all strive for in our darker colored animals. He is simply a gorgeous, commanding brown herdsire. We are pleased to Co-Own this Herdsire with Bacon's Alpaca Farm of Clear Lake, IA.
Gregor presents himself with confidence, and an easy going, gentle manner. For his age, he has developed very well. His fleece regrowth is excellent, with a long staple, well defined, very consistent character throughout with a tremendous brightness within. His fleece has a soft hand and his coverage is superior.
Gregor's micron was a very respectable 20.4AFD at one year old, and at three it is holding finely at 21.8 AFD. Very Impressive for such a deeply colored brown male!!! His fleeces have received high marks too; in the AOBA certified fleece show at Mid-America Alpaca 10/08, he received high marks from judge Shannon McConnell.

Endeavour is the first cria born on our farm from Peruvian X Gregor. We paired Gregor with one of our foundation females, Brown-Eyed Susan, thinking we would likely get a beautifully colored, well conformed, dense and fine offspring.
We were not disappointed in Endeavour. He has grown into a handsome, young male. His personality is incredibly easy going and manageable. Deav has a very full fleece coverage, an excellent bonnet, and solid conformation. His cria fleece clipped off beautifully and he continues to put on a lovely, deeply colored medium brown fleece. Deav is dense, uniformly crimped and soft handling. His color is deep and rich with dark tipping on the ears, eyelashes and toe nails.
Deav's sire, Peruvian X Gregor's micron was a very respectable 20.4AFD at one year of age, and at three it was holding finely at 21.8 AFD. Gregor has been well awarded in halter and fleece competitions and is the son of the 7x Black Color Champion SA Peruvian Black Epic.
We would be more than happy to keep this young male but would also pleased to offer him for sale as a junior herdsire prospect.
