| | | This fabulous silver grey daughter of Patagonia's Kaspa was a high selling maiden at the 2005 AOBA auction. Her sire, Kaspa, is both AAA Futurity and AOBA grey color champion and he has passed that quality onto Magenta. Magenta's dam is a lovely maroon so her color genetics and through and through.
Magenta's cria, Wayfarer Nightshade, won a blue ribbon at his first and only show. We are looking forward to more great things from Magenta and her cria | |

| | | Dark Shaddow's book is closed to outside breedings. We are still using him in our own breeding program and you will be able to obtain his genetics through purchasing his offspring or a female bred to him. Dark Shaddow was awarded the prestigious 2006 Reserve Herd Sire of the Year! Shaddow is what is considered truely an "IMPACT" male. He is the only true black herd sire in the US that we know of that has produced the most champion award winning offspring and is the most consistent. Fifteen awards including "Get of Sire", 3 championships, presence, crimp, density, fineness, luster, conformation, thick topknot(the densest we have ever seen) and coverage. Shaddow is as black as coal and his fleece is non-fading even at 11 years of age. He has no gray fibers at all like most true black males of his age that we have seen. Shaddow's offspring have been taking the showring by storm, having won more than 50 championships (17 alone in 2006) and several blue ribbons. Several of his offspring ( | |

Nightshade might have the densest fleece of an alpaca born on our farm...and that's saying a lot, especially for a black alpaca. Not that this comes as a surprise given his pedigree. His dam, Patagonia's Magenta, is a Kaspa daughter and was a high selling maiden at the AOBA auction a few years ago. His sire, Dark Shaddow needs no introduction for breeders of black or grey.
Nightshade made an immediate impact at shows last fall, taking 2 blue ribbons and one red ribbon. Judges (Amanda Vandenbosch, Jude Anderson, Jill McLeod) all commented on his dense, bright, crimpy, soft fleece.
We have Nightshade listed for sale at this time, but would be happy to use him in our own breeding program, so call or email soon if you are interested - before we change our minds and take him off the sales list.
