Wonderful mother! Nike is very gentle and easy to handle. She has easy births; the last cria was delivered by my 15 year old niece. Her first cria in 2005 was a beautiful true black female sired by Dark Shadow from Grand River Alpacas. Nike will be a wonderful addition to any breeding program. We are finding that, bred to a dark male, she will throw her own true black color. However, she is a half sister to a beautiful rose grey. Her fleece is very dense and bright. She needs more crimp and fineness, so if you have a herdsire that is soft and crimpy, Nike would be a surperb match. Nike gave birth to a healthy mahogany girl July of 08. She comes with a breeding to Vee Jay.

We used Duncan to breed two of our females last fall. Both females settled on the first breeding. Duncan has a strong conformation and had a micron count of 16 at one year. He is still under 20 at three years! SD at two years is 3.5, CoV 18.4%, and fibers greater than 30 microns 0.6%! At the IN show, 2008, Peter Kennedy stated that Duncan has a very fine handle. Not only is Duncan a beautiful color, fine fiber, and strong conformation, he is a sweetheart to work with. He will add soft handle, and gentle personality to your herd. Update 9/5/08: The second cria is also a beautiful dark brown female! The dam is a dense dark brown with course fiber. Duncan has added his finess to the character of the fiber to produce a dense, very soft f
