Medium Brown, 833431, 1/4 Chilean, 1/2 Peruvian, 1/4 Other/Unknown
Bolivias incredible presence, upright carriage, even temperament, excellent fleece quality and coverage, and enviable genetics make her very desirable to a deep colored breeding program. Bolivia is our perfect foundation girl model. She has produced two stunning blue ribbon girls. She's a top girl who will be bred to our own top stud, Stonyridge Midnight Eclipse, for a 2011 cria.
Check out the dark brown/rose grey female, Libby, her 2004 daughter sired by the late Victors Vic Jr. & bay black Sable, her '05 daughter sired by true black Patagonia's Compadre for the quality she produces. See Stonyridge Alpacas (OR) foundation list for her gorgeous offspring!
Her sire, AFRs Hong Kong, is a Victor son, and is out of an exceptional import, Pperuvian Ada. His white color misleads his genetics as he consistently produced deep color when bred to color. He brings Accoyo genetics to Bolivias strong color pedigree.
Given Bolivia's grey ancestors, and Libby's grey '07
Medium Silver Grey, 804298, 1/2 Chilean, 1/2 Peruvian
This amazing, half Accoyo gray has been famously siring champions and blue ribbon winners on the West Coast for years. Now he is here in Paradise! He has a beautiful silver gray fleece, extraordinarily dense and crimpy and is still maintaining a fine hand even at 10 years old. His conformation is excellent, with great presence and a beautiful, typey head. He passes all these attributes to his offspring along with his color. Of 133 registered offspring, over half are gray! And 105 are either black or gray, almost 80%! This is out of dams of varying color, including fawn and white! His offspring have gone on to win many championships and ribbons which I will update on here soon. In an independent statistical evaluation of offspring show results this year, he is in the top three of gray herdsires in the whole country! In listing his offspring below, I purposely chose some of his sons who are working herdsires themselves so you can see the quality that is passed down two gener
"Tina" arrived on 7/22/09, weighing in at a little over 14 lbs. and was up and nursing in about 30 minutes. She got so dirty so quickly, it was hard to tell what color she was initially, but after a few days it became clear she was white. She's was a very curly, active little cria - very sweet natured, and has discovered that treats are often found in our hands! She's now grown into a beautiful young lady, and is flirting with all the boys on the ranch!
She's a 1/2 sister to our herdsire, Stonyridge Midnight Eclipse, and a cousin to Eclipse's Midnight Espresso ("Skippy").
Because she's related to our stud, we're offering her for sale. She is a maiden, but if desired, can be bred to our junior herdsire, High Flying Hershey, for a 2013 summer cria at an additional cost. (Call for details.)
