| | | RoseMarie is a beautiful "pinkey" rose grey female. Her blanket is consistent in both color & crimp style, & her conformation & teeth are perfect. RoseMarie carries some of the best black/grey genetics with Loganberry, Fantasy's Gremlin, Petite Shenanigans & Zorro. Her fleece is dense, yet still holding a very fine micron. Her crimp style is high frequency, low amplitude .. giving that "tiny zipper" look in pink!
RoseMarie is a pretty alpaca and SWEET AS PIE! She is very well behaved and seems to love people. Breds easily and conceives on the first try. Nurses her crias well, plenty of milk and a VERY good mother. She slipped her 2011 pregnancy over the winter/spring... and so she is breeding to our MAPACA Color Champion, Crusader... a fabulous macho who has made champion offpsring.
RoseMarie had a C-section in 2010 giving us a beautiful dark brown female cria. I have been advised that this will not be a problem for her to have a normal delivery next time. I | |

| | | The old boy is still capable of competing with the latest and greatest! Just this weekend, at the Futurity 2009, Socosani's son, Kodachrome placed 4th in the juvi rose grey male COMBINED group. Of course there were 2 males standing above him that did NOT have tuxedo's (Snowmass and Crescent Moon's animals)and looked totally brown from the outside, and I don't consider these type of boys actual "greys" and I would NEVER count on them to produce grey offspring when in reality they are roans! If Socosani can still produce offspring of this caliper after 15 years, I think he is a "hall of fame" alpaca who can demand a $3000 breeding fee! NO - he is not the crimp upgrader, not at all... he is your COLOR boy - the one who can give you a grey or rose grey with the dams fleece character while adding and maintaining fineness and staple length - don't forget about that FANTASTIC coverage too!
