When I made the breeding decision to create 'Misha', I wanted to take the Accoyo The Last Don genetics of the dam and match her up with my fiber machine, Juleon Gold out of the well known Altiplano Gold line. The result was Full Peruvian Misha Gold who has wonderfully bright crimpy white fiber and loads of it! I wish I had several more just like her in my herd.
PHA Accoyo Vortex is now owned 100% by ALPACA HEIGHTS! To celebrate we're offering reduced stud fees for the first 5 breedings of 2012. Contact Mary for more info or to request a fiber sample. We have several offspring here at the farm to evaluate as well.
We challenge you to find a herdsire whose first offspring average a micron of 18.07, SD 3.82, CV 21.34, CF 99.46. And no, they were not tested at birth, but rather all were 7 to 8 months of age and eating grain! All have extreme brightness, zipper crimp, fineness and density.
Venturo means 'Faithful' in Spanish. Looks like it also means one FINE boy... Here are his stats at 7 months: AFD 17.1, SD 3.4, CV 19.9, CF 100%. At 18 months, 19.2, 3.9, 20.4!
This lineage cross of the Accoyo The Last Don/Altiplano Gold lines on the dam side with the Accoyo Elite/Accoyo Vortex lines on the sire side seem to be the right mix we're looking for.
This boy has gorgeous good looks that you're drawn to when you walk into the barn. Then when you put your hands into that thick fleece and see that bright crimp, you're hooked.
Awards Received MIAF 2011, 5th place. Alpaca Heights Vortex offspring took 4th, 5th, & 6th in this White Yearling class!
