Expresso was born in the pasture on a very hot and humid day. Her Dam was standing over her. She weighed only 12.5 pounds was very weak and limp, completely dry and felt hot to the touch. I rushed her to the barn and cooled her off and all she did was lay on her side. I held her up to nurse and then again every 20 minutes for 3 more times. After the 4th short feeding she finally got up and started walking around. She is a survivor!
She is a beautiful medium brownish color and it is not until you touch her fleece do you realize just how fantastic it is. Soft and fine just like her Dam and Grand dam.
Her Dam has extremely fine light brown fleece, her sire is 2nd generation TB who throws a high percentage of black cria's and has a grey sire. Her dam's grandsire is TB Kobe of PVA. She is loaded with color!
She is one of our nicest young brown girls. On JUne 3rd, 2012 Expresso delivered a very fine fleeced solid TB male cria from last years breeding with our herdsire Bonanza in Black.
