Pearl is a 6 year old, very healthy, trouble-free production female. She births easily (unassisted), has a great supply of milk, produces very robust cria with high IGG. She rebreeds easily and is confirmed with a Sept. 09 cria. Pearl has good conformation, nice density with a wide crimp style to her fleece. With her color genetics of dark fawn from her sire and black and grey from her dam, she offers a very good chance to reproduce color. Which is why we bred her to award winning Baron von Hershey. Hershey adds that next step up every breeder looks for: bone density, fleece coverage, beautiful head, balanced conformation. And he does in color! Pearl is very easy to handle and has quite the personality. When you walk in, she gossips about everyone in the barn!

He was purchased at the 2001 Breeder's Choice Auction from Magical Farms for $40,000. MATEO is a consistant producer of grey when breed to grey. He is well known on the Show Circuit for his rare, "Elite", "French Fry" style fleece.
Perle is the sweetest, mild mannered Nanny a farm could ask for. Perle suffered with a non-hereditary medical issue during her last pregnancy and was since given the go ahead to get back into a breeding program by her vet. She was Robbie Grodin’s (owner of Chagrin River Farm) first baby and Robbie had decided she wanted to find Perle a good home as a non-breeding female. She could not bear even the slightest of possibilities of Perle experiencing any more pain. We were honored that Robbie has trusted us to provide that loving home. She has taken her place proudly as Nanny and does an excellent job.
Perle is a very pleasing and typey fawn lady with an eye catching face. She has a true sincerity when you look into her eyes. She is hearty and solid with great square and balanced conformation and a perfect bite. Perle has dense fleece with an exceptional staple.
Perle is what everyone would hope for in a companion animal. She walks on a loose lead, gets weighed, goes into the trailer, takes meds, etc. with complete ease. She is a fabulous addition to our farm. She is always curious and keeps the little ones in line, while being careful not to hurt any feelings. She also does not try to take over the alpha role when moved into a pen with the herd matriarch.
