WGA Royal Black Velvet

True Black, 1/4 Chilean, 3/4 Peruvian

Royal Black Velvet is aptly named. She is a lovely lady with velvet-soft fleece. She carries herself proudly and has good conformation, excellent coverage, nice straight legs, and good bite. She comes from a background of extraordinary genetic heritage Royal Fawn, Dom Lucilio and CPeruvian Axtion Jackson, who carries a depth of solid black color in his lineage.
Velvet produced a lovely true black girl last year for us--Helena--from the union of our silver gray herdsire, BSF Chilton and a gorgeous dark silver gray girl, Inca Moon, out of our gray herdsire, Eduardo. We have repeated this breeding for a fall 2009 cria.

  BSF Eduardo
Medium Silver Grey, 1436259, 1/2 Chilean, 1/2 Peruvian

Eduardo is very special. He is the first male cria that Calypsa produced for us and he is undoubtedly one of the best males our farm has ever produced. With his incredible genetics and soft crimpy fleece with an AFD of just 21.8 microns, great conformation and personality, he is outstanding. He is a large and handsome male with an exquisite head, a calm and confident manner, and a easy-going disposition. Eduardo truly represents the epitome of all the characteristics that we are aiming for in our breeding program.

UPDATE: Eduardo now has six crias on the ground: four females and two males, five are silver or rose gray. All who have been shown have won ribbons; BSF Intrepid Spirit taking a first at the NJ Classic Show.

Eduardo is co-owned with Wool & Gray Alpacas, where he resides from May until November. He will be standing at stud here from November through April.

Juniper is one of our best gray females, another exceptional Eduardo daughter. She is absolutely stunning: a dramatic blend of colors with a blanket of dark rose gray and a contrasting white face with dark mascara eyes like her sire. She took a 2nd place at Jubilee and first place at the NJ Classic.
She has a bit of white tuxedo and dots of white on her toes.
Juniper always attracts a crowd. She is a real eye-catcher with her coloring and magnetic presence. She has done well in the show ring, taking a first place at the New Jersey Classic show last fall and a second place at the 2011 MAPACA Jubilee. She is also full of fun and spunk, always ready for new experiences.
She is ready to breed and sells with a free breeding to any of our herdsires.
