Shiloh Diamante

Pattern, ARI 30002990, Bolivian

We bought Shiloh based on her 2-month-old cria picture and have never regretted it. As a juvenile, she took 2nd place under Julio Sumar in a large class of solid browns. She is a great mother who has given us an up-and-coming herdsire (Wit's End Rumrunner) and two lovely girls who were the spitting image of her as a cria. Her most recent offering, Eye Candy's Cocoa Confection, is sure to be a show winner!

  Crown Point's Royal Gold
    Light Fawn, 1054804, Full Peruvian

We are thrilled with our herdsire, Royal Gold.He continues to recieve honors standing next to some of Northeast's finest breeding Light Fawn Males. Royal Gold took second to one of the most impressive fawn males, Lazy Acres Phenox! The judge said Royal Gold was an impressive male "extrememly fine, and dense, and organized fleece! Our "Golden Boy" has got it all, including great bloodlines, combining Caligula, Bueno and Royal Fawn. He is Alianza and 1/4 Accoyo too! He has great presence and is stunning. Royal Gold’s fleece has high frequency, high amplitude crimp, with 10 very tactile crimps per inch. It’s very fine and so bright it practically glows. Truly elite fleece in a gorgeous shade of light fawn. He has solid bone, a nice full chest and is super straight with a beautiful even bite.
His first cria are here so far 3 males and 6 females. Nearly everyone has chosen to repeat the breedings. The best of all is that Royal Gold is throwing his beautiful fleece. Another plus

EyeCandy’s Salt Water Taffy  (20.5 on 3rd shearing)

Check out her 2012 stats - still holding fine and consistent on her third shearing!

Do you love patterns but don’t want to compromise on quality? Then Taffy may be your girl! Strong and well-grown, she has excellent fleece coverage, good density, and her soft fleece has a lovely hand. Her sire is a Royal Fawn grandson, who also boasts Bueno and Caligula in his pedigree. On her dam’s side you’ll find Hemingway and Sayvon of Bolivia. Both of Taffy’s parents are ribbon winners in their own right.

In her first fleece show she took second with a judge's comment of "Wow! Buttery Soft!" This assessment was borne out by her 2010 histogram results showing a 19.6 micron (based on a grid sample no less!). Her 2011 histogram was almost as good (see stats below), and her 2012 histogram shows her holding steady with a micron of only 20.5! Although she is a pattern, her blanket is almost completely solid (just a touch of white on the edges). She also carries a gray patch on one hip (a trait she shares with her brother) so she'd be an interesting choice to breed for gray. She doesn't have a ton of crimp, but who cares when there is so much other good stuff to work with?!

Right now Taffy is having a great time baby sitting her little sister - she should be a wonderful Mom. We've kept her open due to the economy, but she comes with a breeding to the Crown Point stud of your choice. Our recommendation would be Arlo, who just produced Taffy's stunning half sister Cocoa, and who would be sure to push tons of crimp into Taffy's off-spring!

We are strongly tempted to keep Taffy in our own breeding program, but here she is . . . for now. Grab her before we change our minds!

Taffy is offered by our boarders, Eye Candy Alpacas.
“Every pasture could use a little Eye Candy!”
