We purchased Catalina in 2008 and were not dissapointed when she arrived. She was one of Tell Tale's "top-of-the-line" females. She is stylish Alpamayo daughter and has extremely dense fleece with exquisite handle. She has perfect confirmation, with a proud stature and upright carriage Catalina is half brother (same dam) to Tell Aristocat, who was Grand Champion White Male and runner up for Supreme Champion at the 2006 Futurity. Catalina's 2007 male cria Tell Ledger's Catapult is the newest herdsire at Brewster Alpaca's. Catalina's first 4 crias have been males and 2009 she blessed us with a spectacular white female sired by Tell Maximus. This little girl was well worth the wait. She is currently being bred to our newest herdsire Shamroc Alyst, and Sweet William son, hoping she will continue to give us girls. Her fibre stats at 5 years of age are incredible with SD 4.2 and CV 17.1
August 1st Catarrah delivers an outstanding white female, from Resolute, dense, with crimp to her ankles, this one is special. We will be putting Catarrah with the rest of our herd on the spring breeding schedule and breeding her to colour...stay tuned
OOOOO LA LA .......... CATARRAH. This spectacular female is out of a Alpamayo daughter and a Victor Vaccoyo son . The blending of these two North American bloodlines have resulted in this gorgeous pure white female. We were thrilled to finally get a female out of Catalina and boy was she worth the wait. Catarrah has EXTREME density and crimp style and at eight months of age her fleece is already over 5 inches long. She is 108 pounds at 9 months of age and although large enough to be bred this summer, we decided to hold her over spring. (Price includes breeding to your choice of male)
UPDATE: Catarrah placed 3rd in the biggest show in Canada in the always tough white juvenile class. We have her listed because although she absolutely has the quality to stay in our herd, we are getting many whites and really would like to concentrate on a coloured breeding program. Catarrah took Reserve Champion white at the A.O Fleece show. Jill MacCleod commented on her "uniformity, great staple length and brightness."
There is a ton of hidden colour in this girl, we all know the colour potential in the Victor Vaccoyo line. Catarrah is being sold without her 2013 cria and is currently open. Price includes breeding to herdsire or your choice
