JJA Santana's Renee
Dark Fawn, 1206173, Full Peruvian
Renee has matured into a great girl, friendly and curious and always the first to greet folks in her pasture. Her dark fawn (actually closer to light brown) fleece is set off by her big eyeliner eyes, black and gray ears, and mahogany "anklets" on all four feet. Her Maternal Grandsire and Great Grandsires are Augusto and Leon. Her Sire 5Peruvian Santana is a Dark Brown(Mahogany)that has been a multi year National Champion. His other cria have also been standouts. Most notably, her half-brother Sunset Hills Andean Gold who has recently won the ultimate in fleece awards the 2006 AFCNA Spirit of the Fiber Industry award along with a huge amount of blue and color championships. As you can hopefully see, besides Renee's great color and heritage, she has very nice confirmation and exquisite fleece that is incredibly dense. Actually had to use two bags for her blanket fleece.
Adonis keeps impressing the judges. He has shown in 7 shows as an adult so far and has taken 6 blue ribbons and one championship before 6 different judges. These include a 1st place at the Level 5 GWAS in Denver and Level 4 at MOPACA. His lineage is outstanding for champions of color. He settled his first female at 23mths and is an efficient breeder. His offspring will hit the ground May '07 and we can't wait. Being out of the Royal Fawn lineage, he is sure to impart his excellent qualities. His sire, Eros, won the Big E Get of Sire in '05 and prior to that he won FIRSTS@ MAPACA,AOBA,ALL AMER.FUTURITY,AND THE EMPIRE IN '03. His Grandsire Apollo was undefeated in '98 and took 1st at the All Amer. Futurity & AOBA in 99 plus in 2000 he took 1st & color champ at Mapaca. Amelie, his dam is a 4Peruvian Black Magic daughter who went from BB to TB this year and is non-fading to boot! She puts out offspring with excellent conformation, coverage, brightness and density.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with this guy except that he is brown! He actually has stronger dark genes than his sire Adonis a BB now. He is a breeze to handle and even at 3 yrs he still will give a human a kiss. He is a great breeder also, settling at first try and producing darker than dam. Kratos will bring to your breeding program what Adonis has been bringing to our farm and others. That is, an improvement over the dam in fineness, density, bone, and a calm, friendly personality (most of the time). Kratos has amazing crimp structure and brightness that along with fineness and density are the same ideals that won his sire 6 blue ribbons (5 were out of 6 shows as a yearling). His dam Renee has excellent fiber from her 3x AOBA champion sire Santana and her grandsires Augusto and Leon. The sire's line includes Black Magic and Royal Eros, Royal Apollo and Royal Fawn as well as Allianza through Grandam Amelie. Kratos is 15/16 Peruvian. Adonis has been making grays and blacks & Kratos has more gray on maternal side. Low micron on gray is something to strive for with the low CV's. It is tougher to keep him cool with the amount of fleece he has, but when we can, he shines in the ring like he did at the IAOBA show! Kratos did his sire JJA Royal Adonis proud by ranking up there with a Black Mesquite son, Black Icecapade and Express boys! KRATOS SETTLED HIS FIRST GIRL ON THE FIRST TRY AT 2 YRS OLD! $200 discount if you bring your girl up to Hayward for a drive-by and treat yourself to the lovely lakes and woods while she is otherwise disposed. Buy this brown and make blacks at a cheaper price!
