| | | NEWS FLASH: TAMALE GAVE BIRTH TO A GORGEOUS BAY BLACK SON. DO WE SUSPECT HE'LL TURN TRUE BLACK LIKE HIS MAMA?! CHECK OUT OUR LISTING FOR SSILKEN'S NIGHT MUSIC!!!
Tamale has gorgeous twisted locks & beautiful luster -- her fleece was one of the ones sent in for the Suri Network Luster Study. Opening the bag was like a shining black light . . . She is a superior-fleeced alpaca, with fine greasy suri fiber. She is solid true black -- no white spotting, no browning, no tipping. And REALLY, REALLY BLACK. She is not bay black or one of those brownish ones sometimes marketed as black. She is solid, deep, true BLACK. Her exquisite fleece alone should put her in a foundation herd!
She comes from excellent maternal and paternal lines and should produce well for many years to come. Her sire, USA Licorice, is a full Peruvian true black h

| | | he is dripping with luster, luster, luster. He has a beautiful typey head with beard, perfect conformation, complete coverage nose-to-toes, outstanding individual locks and amazing density.
He took 2nd (to reserve color champion, a Park View Alpacas entry) at Level 5 - Alpaca Western Extravaganza 2006, his only time shown in 2006 due to his late fall birthday and show age cutoffs, and the judge specifically commented on his excellent density. Zan placed ahead of animals sired by Montoya of PVA, Snowmass Nautilus, Ebony Icon, Tagi of Legacy Hills, and two sired by Captain Morgan!
Zan has placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd under SIX DIFFERENT JUDGES at several level 4 and level 5 shows!
His fiber stats from the benchmark 2nd shearing are equally impressive: AFD 18.5; SD 4.2; CV 22.7; >30um 2.0. This reflects the input of two superior parents. We expect great cria from this one! AND, he is STAYING FINE!!! His AFD at his 3rd Shearing was 19.0 with SD of 4.2! Only 1.8% over 30 m
