Carnelian is the daughter of the true-black Herdsire, Canzelle's Zambezi. She has her famous sire's "look"--very upright, solid, and lots of presence. Her color is a rich, reddish-brown, like the beautiful semiprecious gem after which she is named. Her fleece is extremely dense, bright, and soft-handling. Through her Dam, "Nellie" is a Victor granddaughter, and a Hemingway great-granddaughter. On Zambezi's side, she has deep high-quality black and gray genetics--Drake is her grandsire, and Danko and Sinopsis Nocturna are both her great-grandsires.
Carnelian had a beautiful light fawn famle out of Greybeard on 6/13/2008. Her name is FMA GreyBeard's Ballantyne. She's looks very very nice.
Carnelian has been bred to AML El Duro's PRINCIPIO, an UNDEFEATED eight time Color Champion and Blue ribbon winner, for a 2009 June cria.

Principio, is a handsome male who is phenotypically correct. He has a beautiful head, a regal stature, great coverage from head to fetlock,superior density and wonderful fiber stats and characteristics such as, extreme fineness, a very tiny crimp style with excellent amplitude and a wonderful organization and brightness to his fleece. In addition to all this, he has incredible genetics. He is undefeated in the show ring as an 8 X Color Champion. And, just ask anyone wo has seen him and you'll hear the same remarks,.."AN INCREDIBLE MALE," "wish I owned him," "can't wait to breed our female to him to see the offspring," "fiber like I've never seen before on a fawn," and the accolades continue on...
