Adrasteas fleece (2008 AFD=15.8, SD=3.5, CV=22, %>30=0.6) won a special award for Best Brightness at MaPaca and she won a Blue Ribbon and Reserve Championship in halter at the 2003 OABA show. She has excellent conformation and a beautiful, soft fleece with lots of character. Her 2006 total fleece weight was an incredible 13.5# (and she was pregnant during most of that growth!).
Her grandsire is P. Emilio, a fabulous male with a dense, Accoyo-like crimpy fleece. Her dam is P. Accent, the daughter of Accoyo Peruvian Leon, the darkest Accoyo male in North America.
Although, she is technically beige, Adrastea has gray on her face. Her top knot presents as beige, however, when parted, is gray underneath & all her pigmentation is dark!
Her first cria, Gun Smoke, is a dark rose grey son of the multiple award-winning, black Peruvian Dakotia son, MFI Pistol who sold in '06 for $230,000. Smoke ribboned at both of the 2 huge shows
AND, HIS FIRST CRIA HAVE HIT THE GROUND RUNNING !!!
SO FAR, Commander has produced black, silver grey & rose grey! His color production appears to be as successful as that of his renown sire, Navigator.
This gentle and stately (solid) true black male out of our multiple Color Champion gray herdsire, Navigator, is a real show stopper.
