Sayvona is a mahogany female from a dam of the same color. Her sire, Sayvon, now retired, had been one of the best producers of Sayvonas rich color. His average fiber diameter was 22.0 with a CV of 20.5% and an SD of 4.5.
Sayvona is a compact female with excellent conformation, straight legs and a good bite. She has a soft, crinkle fleece with excellent coverage from her toes to her topknot. Sayvona births easily and is an attentive mom.
For her 2010 cria, Sayvona has been bred to Onyx de Mico, a Bay Black champion with extremely dense, crimpy fleece, excellent conformation, correct bite, and a wonderful, easy-to-handle disposition. Judges have commented on Onyx's fleece which shows the same consistency all the way into his belly.
Sayvona has been "spitting off" and will be ultrasounded in the Spring. Will she produce a black cria? - well, we'll have to wait and see. No matter what the color, we are sure this cria will be a "looker"!
Bolivian Chieftain B956
White, 184790, Bolivian
Chieftain is a pure white Huacaya herd sire with flawless conformation and an extremely well covered fleece. His uniform crimpy fiber extends from his head all the way down to his toes. Now with over 100 crias on the ground, we are seeing consistency in the excellent fiber and ideal conformation of these offspring. Chieftains daughter, Austine, was the highest selling Huacaya female at the Futurity auction in Indianapolis in April 2003! In addition to being able to pass on great fiber, Chieftain also is great at letting the color come through. With a recessive color gene, many of his crias are as dark or darker than their dams. Chieftains fiber analysis shows an average fiber diameter of 19.7 microns with a standard deviation of 4.4 microns, a coefficient of variation of 22.3% and only 2.4% over 30 microns.
CHELCEE is a feminine female who so far has produced two darling crias with mellow demeanors and loads of bright crimpy fleece. CHELCEE has proven to be an excellent mother, delivering easily and with plenty of milk for her crias.
CHELCEE's son JRAM's THE MIGHTY QWYNN placed Second in Halter, 2009 NW Alpaca Showcase, juvenile light males, above a Snowmass Matrix son.
CHELCEE has a beautiful, fully-fleeced face and topknot. Her fleece is dense and bright with medium frequency, high (I said HIGH!) amplitude crimp throughout. CHELCEE has a perfect bite, excellent conformation and coverage from her ears to her toes.
Her sire, Chieftain, has over 100 cria on the ground and all show extraordinary consistency in their fiber and ideal conformation.
