| | | Gypsy was one of those animals that was just born beautiful and got more so as she matured. Our young nephew, Stephen, was doing a turn on Broadway in the play "Gypsy" starring Bernadette Peters and our new little girl reminded us of the vivacious actress. Quite early on, you could see she had the high quality fleece of both her sire Hemingway's El Reino and her grandsire, Peruvian Hemingway. In addition she has has the feminine sweet inquiring disposition of her mother, Caoba. .... .
SHOW CAREER: HER FIRST SHOW...HER FIRST BLUE. AT THE SOUTHERN SELECT IN TENN, GYPSY WAS THE YOUNGEST IN A CLASS OF 9. THE JUDGE INTIMATED THERE WAS NO CONTEST! AT THE NORTH AMERICAN, SHE TOOK A RED IN A CLASS OF 12, AND AT MAPACA, SHE TOOK THE BLUE, CLASS OF TWELVE. LAST BUT NOT LEAST, AT PAOBA 05, GYPSY TOOK A BLUE AND A RESERVE CHAMPIONSHIP.

6x Champion Peruvian Lancaster is simply all you'd want in a herdsire. Not only is Lancaster's fleece consistant, but so are his career show winnings. HE WON HIS 14TH BLUE RIBBON AT MAPACA 05. And, he won the coveted Fawn Male Color Championship at MAPACA 2004. Judged by Mike Safley and selected from over 124 lite, medium, and dark fawn males from the top farms around the country, Lancaster has been called by more than one judge: "the total package". Mr. Safley said..." what's more impressive, is that even though Lancaster was over 2 years old and the second oldest out of the sixteen first place males vying for Championship, he was the finest of them all-even the 7 month old standing reserve behind him".

WE ARE VERY PROUD THAT BOHEME HAS CAUGHT THE EYE OF OUR FRIENDS IAN AND JENNIFER LUTZ. HAPPILY SHE HAS TAKEN HER PLACE IN THEIR ILLUSTRIOUS HERD AT CAS-CAD-NAC FARM.
Lancaster's La Boheme is the second beautiful female cria from our award winning dam, Spruce Ridge Gypsy Del Reino. Gypsy's first cria, Lancaster's Romany, is a straight 9X Black Color Champion,2X Black Reserve Color Champion, who was sold to Flying Pony Alpacas.In addition, she has just taken home The Black Fleece Color Championship at Vaoba, October 2010. La Boheme is her full sister. And, by all accounts should follow in her foot steps as she is carrying the same qualities of excellence.
GYPSY, LA BOHEME'S MOM, HAVING GIVEN US THESE TWO WONDERFUL DAUGHTERS JUST GAVE US A STUNNING MEDIUM FAWN BOY, ROMAN, IN 2010. WE HAVE REBRED GYPSY ONCE AGAIN TO LANCASTER FOR A 2011 CRIA AS THIS SEEMS TO BE A VERY WINNING COMBINATION.
