Light Rose Grey, 30556102, 1/2 Chilean, 1/2 Peruvian
Alyssa is the daughter of the famous Accoyo Mcgwire, producer of many champions and rose greys. Alyssa is an exceptional half accoyo rose grey. She is full of endless fiber and I mean thick and soft, staple length of 3 inches on her legs! Her blanket fiber is easily 6 inches, crimped from skin to tip and showing a wonderful hand - good for making high quality yarns. Alyssa's blanket has great density, shearing 7+ lbs sof blanket! Alyssa's frame is solid as a rock with straight legs that are massively covered to the ground with thick fiber. Her topline is level, her bite is perfect, and her temperment is exactly what we wanted - at 165 lbs. she's an easy keeper. Her dam is a medium rose grey import female that is still holding microns in the low 20's at 12 years of age. You won't believe what you see in Alyssa, blue ribbon winner at the Michigan Alpacafest, half accoyo, rose grey producer! Alyssa's breeding to 5Peruvian Socosani, our full Peruvian grey stud, was a match made
The old boy is still capable of competing with the latest and greatest! Just this weekend, at the Futurity 2009, Socosani's son, Kodachrome placed 4th in the juvi rose grey male COMBINED group. Of course there were 2 males standing above him that did NOT have tuxedo's (Snowmass and Crescent Moon's animals)and looked totally brown from the outside, and I don't consider these type of boys actual "greys" and I would NEVER count on them to produce grey offspring when in reality they are roans! If Socosani can still produce offspring of this caliper after 15 years, I think he is a "hall of fame" alpaca who can demand a $3000 breeding fee! NO - he is not the crimp upgrader, not at all... he is your COLOR boy - the one who can give you a grey or rose grey with the dams fleece character while adding and maintaining fineness and staple length - don't forget about that FANTASTIC coverage too!
Included in your breeding fee: ultrasound confirmation of pregnancy, 60 days free board fo
Socosani's Vintage Cracklin Rose (Rose Grey Beauty!)
Listed at $8000 by Kim Rassi & of Brooklyn Heights, OH
Cracklin Rose is sweet as can be! Her FULL BROTHER is Kodachrome, our #1 grey male on the farm! Rose is ALOT like Kodachrome except her color is MUCH DARKER. You can see her maroon cria tips showing inthe pictures, but I promise you this, when you part her fleece you will be WOW'd by the CRIMP AMPLITUDE and COLOR!! One of my densest greys on the farm and that is saying ALOT as I have some beautifully fleeced greys! Her rose grey fleece is VERY soft, like both sire and dam, her coverage is complete. She is not as heavy in the bone as her full brother, but she is certainly not lacking in bone either. Why on earth would anyone sell such a beauty!
Cracklin Rosie has been bred to our wonderful grey male, Silver Sterling for a fall 2012 cria. Cracklin Rosie is looking plump and round as we come into spring, and she still has that same old "Socosani temperment" about her... sweet as can be... easy to handle and never spits... just a dream to have around. She never panics, just takes it all in ... peaceful and calm just like her sire. I am expecting a VERY high quality grey cria out of this pairing.
Service Sire: Awards Received Very respectable showing of 4th place at the Ohio ALpacafest placing right behind the cria sired by Challenger of KPR!! Group of 9!!
Fantastic place of 2nd at the 2008 Heartland Classic in the silver grey yearling male class!
3rd, 2009 AOBA Nationals combined silver and rose grey males, well deserved finish and we are extremely proud.
CONGRATULATIONS to Silver Birch Farm of Ashland Ohio for acquiring part ownership in Cashmere along with both Archimedes Crusader and Socosani's Silver Sensation! You guys are set with greys for several years to come!
