Ark's Expresso's Ruth
Light Silver Grey, 30334533, Full Peruvian
A truly light silver grey female cria with virtually no spots! Full Peruvian, 3/8 Accoyo. Sire is Tres Cuartas Peruvian Black Expresso (3/4 Accoyo/full Peruvian) and dam is TCB's Genesis (full Peruvian)--daughter of Nic Nac and AOBA blue ribbon winner dam.
Ruth has extremely crimpy, very dense and fine fiber. We are excited about her potential for grey and black.
Armani is something to see. He has great conformation, great fiber and a great disposition. He has produced grey Cria from beige, grey from drk fawns and light browns, and black from black. His Cria are exceptional!!! He was born and raised on our farm and we still own his dam. His sire Inca Legend passed away and through Armani his legend will live on. He will add great color to your herd. Look for his offspring in the upcoming shows. Limited breedings in '09 & '10.
Full Peruvian Sterling is the result of breeding a Nic Nac granddaughter with an Inca Legend grandson. The result is outstanding! This herdsire has extremely fine fiber coupled with density, staple length and a uniform light silver grey color. The fiber analysis of 19.9 micron and 18.2 CV is great "for a grey"--or any other color! His large bone diameter, good coverage, and attention-getting conformation make him a top herd sire prospect.
Coming from such a strong grey background, Sterling should be a consistent producer of grey progeny. Even his black maternal great grandmother always produces grey when bred to grey. His sire, Our Peruvian Giorgio Armani (rose grey), is a consistent producer of grey and rose grey and his maternal side has a strong presence for grey.
Sterling offers a dense, consistent fleece, long staple length, size and great conformation. His fiber stats continue to be in the low 20's for average fiber diameter, about a 4 standard deviation, low % over 30 microns, all of which have been in the top 6th percentile of EDP results for the last three years! Sterling's fleece took a close 2nd in his class at the 2010 AOBA Nationals.
During his show career Sterling showed himself to be a strong competitor in the rapidly improving grey shows. Sterling was always in the "mix", including a 1st and multiple 2nds and a Reserve Championship from Amanda VanDen Bosch at the 2011 Spring Bling show in Neenah, WI.
So, if you're looking for a herdsire with great genetics, great fiber, solid grey background as well as size, personality and the bonus of a full Peruvian heritage, look no further! Breedings are listed at $850!
