| | | Xena is a lovely female out of Premier's Vidal and our old Chilean Nutmeg. Nutmeg had one of the finest fleeces into old age that we ever laid hands on (18 micron in her fourth year shearing) and she produced amazing fleece on her offspring as well. Xena is following suit in her exceptional little guy, Parker. | |

Diomedes has that perfect combination of fineness and density with an indescribable brightness, and he is passing it on...in color! Several of his cria came in fawn last year, and this year we have one brown boy that takes your breath away -- everyone who walks in the barn notices him right away. Diomedes' male offspring seem to come out ready to breed...very self-possessed, and we found one breeding (no really!) at 10 months. The fleece judge for 2008 Alpacapalooza, Cheryl Gehly, agreed with us about Diomedes' 2007 blanket. She wrote "W | |

Parker is the darkest animal we have had out of Diomedes though another breeder had a DF in 2008. Our little guy has a beautiful, bright color to his fleece, very dense with uniform crimp. I did not originally think he could compete with the micron counts of our medium fawns from Diomedes, but I had to change my mind when we got his first histogram results! Parker's coverage is stunning with a lovely staple length. He has a quiet deameanor but ranks very high on the CUTE scale. We cannot walk anywhere with him on a lead that we don't get stopped for comments.
Parker has a wonderful pedigree with Caligula, Hemingway, and Camilio in the line-up. We often find the Camilio/Caligula combos work very well to produce gorgeous fleece. We look forward to watching this guy mature!
