Named by my young son after the star in the movie "Cars", the alpaca named Allegheny Peru Lightning McQueen is a handsome herd sire with an excellent show record, rich maroon coloration from both his parents and full Peruvian suri genetics.
Both his dam and his sire are maroon in color. His dam is a ribbon winner and champion producer. His sire is perhaps the most densely fleeced colored suri on his very large west coast farm.
Lightning's density is easy to see with an amazing amount of fleece on his blanket, his top knot and his legs. Lightning offers consistent richly colored locks and bright luster. He demonstrates proper conformation with correct proportions, a level top line and straight legs.
Lightning has a very good, mild-mannered personality. He is not mean and doesn't cause any problems. He gets along very well with the other herd sires. Obviously, considering his show record, he is good on a halter and lead.
