Medium Fawn, 838502, 3/4 Peruvian

Daphne is a lovely dam with a golden fleece that is lustrous and fine. She has excellent fiber coverage on a substantial and well conformed body. Daphne has a terrific head with full face coverage, which she passes on to her cria. Her sturdy frame provides plenty of body capacity for birthing crias. She has no problems giving birth and is an attentive mom and good milker.

Daphne’s genetics are hard to beat. Her sire is Accoyo Elite chosen by Crescent Moon to be one of their herdsires and known for maintaining his fineness. At 6 yrs of age Elite had an 18.2 micron count! Daphne’s dam, Snowmass Zinfindalia produced many high quality offspring and one of Crescent Moon’s top producing females. Daphne’s maternal grandsire is Peruvian Don Julio an internationally famous Alianza import. Don Julio was exported to Australia in 1997, so his genetics are limited in the US. Polaris' dam is the offspring of an awesome Alianza Imported fawn female whose offspring are exceptional. Peruvian Hermalinda had a fleece with the softest handle we have had the opportunity to experience. Her daughter, Champagne Ice was sired by Royal Peruvian Valor, son of Accoyo Royal Fawn, the previous high selling male alpaca at $650,000.
