DPA Katrina

White, 810173, Full Peruvian

Full Accoyo female out of Rene and Torbio, one of the top Accoyo herdsires in North America. Katrina is an unbelievable mom. She still clucked at her cria at 2 months and dutifully watched over the herd of newborn crias. Rare for an Accoyo, Katrina lets color come through to her crias. She gave birth to a beautiful, dark brown, half Accoyo male (Kickapoo) in May. Watch for him in the showring next spring.

Katrina has been bred to the famous Accoyo Jackpot. Jackpot is one of the best-known herdsires in the US and one of the country's very best producers, commanding a $7,500 stud fee. He's won several get of sires, and his offspring have an endless show record. A well respected alpaca judge said, "The extreme high quality of this alpaca from Don Julio Barreda's famous herd is something that the United States has not seen yet." Together, they should produce an incredible Spring 2004 cria.

1/2 Accoyo and Covers Gray!

Sundance is up and running, breeding that is! He has settled his first girl and is ready to take on the world :). Sundance is quite the boy. He has beautiful luster, is very fine (a Gunsmoke trait), and his conformation is excellent.

His skin is Gray, he has black toenails, and is a Med Fawn. His bloodlines are some of the best and his offspring promise to be commanding. Take a look at his background: Sire = Peruvian Gunsmoke and Paternal Grandfather = 4P Condor. Dam = full Accoyo by Torbio!

September of 2009 update on Sundance.
Sundance's 1st cria, Hawkeye (see sold page) took 2nd at MAPACA the year that there were 1700 animals in attendance. He had great competition including Mike Barnhart in 1st and Jandy Sprouse in 3rd.

Sundance's next cria, Benchmark's Peruvian Greaser, took 2nd at the Best of the Midwest 2009. He was the youngest (barely 6 months) and placed 2nd to the oldest in the class. The judge went back and forth a few times as it was a tough decision. Greaser's next show was the AOBA World conference 2009 where he placed 2nd in a class of 15! Very impressive class and win as he was the darkest in the class and the competition was really something.

Now, he has a new cria on the ground -- and yes, we got the Rose Gray! His newest cria's name is Comanche. Sundance was bred to Miss Felicity and they produced an incredible Dark Rose Gray. Like the other Sundance kids, he is well locked with good density and shine!
