| | | A true black with a micron of 19! (22.9 at 4 years old!) Magdalena is a pretty, easy to handle girl. Her confirmation is solid and she provides plenty of milk while holding her body condition easily. Her first cria was a beautiful dark fawn female out of Poseidon who has very bright, dense, crimpy fleece. Her daughter hit 100 pounds at 8 months and was still nursing due to my lack of a weaning pasture and Maggie was still body scoring a 5! Maggie was bred to a handsome rosegray grandson of the Silversmith for a spring 2008 baby. I hoped that this pairing will result in black or gray.... And as I predicted, Maggie gave birth to a beautiful true black girl. Birthing was very easy with no sign of labor and baby on the ground 30 minutes later. She is a great Mom and would make a great female for someone just starting out. She is a 'no-fuss' girl, or as I call her a 'no drama lama'!
Maggie has been bred to the award winning, nationally renowned Aussie Rockford. Rockford i | |

| | | Aussie Rockford has arrived in Texas. This amazing, half Accoyo gray has been famously siring champions and blue ribbon winners on the West Coast for years. Now he is here in Paradise! He has a beautiful silver gray fleece, extraordinarily dense and crimpy and is still maintaining a fine hand even at 10 years old. His conformation is excellent, with great presence and a beautiful, typey head. He passes all these attributes to his offspring along with his color. Of 133 registered offspring, over half are gray! And 105 are either black or gray, almost 80%! This is out of dams of varying color, including fawn and white! His offspring have gone on to win many championships and ribbons which I will update on here soon. In an independent statistical evaluation of offspring show results this year, he is in the top three of gray herdsires in the whole country! In listing his offspring below, I purposely chose some of his sons who are working herdsires themselves so you can see the | |
