Saphire is an Augusto granddaughter on her sire's side which makes her 1/4 Accoyo. Her granddam is from the Macusani region on her sire's side. Her Dam is a Huacaya out of 2 suris which always produces a lustrous fleece. Saphire has it all . . . luster, density and crimp and now a great mom! She has plently of milk for her little one as well as others in the field - nursing 3 at once.

Saphire has perfect confirmation and bite.

Now that his crias are hitting the ground, we are thrilled to see what he is producing. He has been covering girls in all ranges of quality and is improving them all. His 1st place win GET OF SIRE at the NJ show was proof!! Wade Geese remarked that the cria all have a remarkable phenotype with consistent fleece qualities. This was an amazing win since the progeny in the ring for Sebastian included a TB, DB and LF.

Sebastian is stamping his head on his babies and, Oh, what a head it is.

When Sebastian won his Color Championship, Tim Lavan's oral comments stated that even though he was much older than any other of the males in the class, his fineness of micron could not be ignored. His density and confirmation are "th

Rico Swabe was born the day I was at the Rhinebeck Sheep and Wool Festival in NY. I was very excited to see the combo between Sebastian and Saphire. I asked him how he looked and my husband said. He said "He looks like a Q-tip" - I think we should name him Q-tip. He already has a full topknot!" There was NO way I was naming a boy Q-tip, especially not a progeny to my Champion male!! A few days went by and he started to "look like" a Rico to me. . . but I did not forget the Q-tip comment - So I was thinking "Cotton Swabs" and "Rico" and I came up with RICO SWABE (Pronounced Rico Swab-AY).

So other than his unique yet attention grabbing name - what can you say about Rico other than WOW? He is an amazing white son of our champion and get of sire winner MLS Peruvian Sebastian. He has Augusto in his lineage from his dam and rare genetics from his sire.

He has dense, blinding bright white, crimpy fleece, a very typey head, great conformation, wonderful laid back personality and all the hallmarks of a stud in the making like his sire.

As he continues his 2010 show career, his price will increase - so don't delay, take home this boy today!!
