Dark Rose Grey, 835579, 3/4 Chilean, 1/8 Peruvian, 1/8 Other/Unknown
WRAndorra is a gentle dark rose gray who gave birth in 2010 to a medium rose gray female, Tanglewood's Tutu, sired by Whirlwind Ranch's Fabian.. Mom had plenty of milk, was a very attentive dam, and took care of the birthing herself. On August 11, 2011 she gave birth to a true black male, sired by none other than The Crimpson Avenger, a herdsire at Benchmark at the Tin Roof, with tons of lucious fiber. She also gives her offspring her gentle disposition, and this boy is one heck of a PR star already. Crimpson may very well be the only bay black 7/8 th Accoyo Royal Avenger son and this offspring is a true black. Andorra, whose dam is a true black, had no trouble delivering her cria all by herself and has a huge amount of milk for her cria.
Andorra is one of the girls who will never leave us because of her gentle nature and the lovely crias she produces.
Wow is what folks say when they get to not only see Fabian, but get their hands on his fleece. Dense is an understatment! Fabian definately has that "wow" factor and he alredy knows how to strut his stuff for the ladies. We see a relly bright future for this little guy!
Congrats are in order for Fabian- he just received his first (of hopefully many) award- 1st place in the AR Adventure Spin-Off. Woo-hoo!!
Fabian has begun his breeding career and we are waiting on reults to see if he has settled his first female (6/09). And YES, we have a confirmed pregnancy for Fabian.
Tutu is one of the nosiest alpacas ever born on our farm. She is an absolute joy to handle, and has developed into a very lovely young female. Tutu definitely has that "cute factor" with lovely, light rose grey fleece and attitude that says: "Hey, look at me!". Tutu is always the first one who wants visitors to the farm to pet her. On 5/28/13 Tutu presented us with a beautiful, strong, classic dark rose grey male. Birth was easy and the little guy could not wait for his legs to get him up. He nibbled on grass while he was waiting for strength to get his body upright. Tutu is just as good a momma as her mom is. This boy looks almost identical to the picture of his mom as a cria. Will post pictures soon, but if you look at Tutu's cria picture, you can get a very good idea of what this boy looks like, almost a carbon copy. The 2013 cria was Tutu's first cria, so now we know that she has her mother's good birthing characteristics, as well as her strong supply of milk. . Tutu earned a reserve color championship at the NAILE show in Louisville. Comment from the judge: "She is like a fluffy pillow". We are hoping that she will replicate her mom's wonderful, gentle temperament and Woody's dense fiber.. Tutu has an awesome temperament that anyone would love to have on their farm. She is the first one to greet visitors, and loves a good chin scratching, and eating grain from your hand. Most important though, is that she is an absolutely wonderful mom to her cria and has an easy time birthing.. This is the kind of alpaca that any farm would love to have.
Awards Received Reserve color champion at NAILE show in 2011.
