| | | YES, WE NEED TO MAKE ROOM SO WE HAVE REDUCED THE PRICE ON GUIN; SHE IS WORTH EVERY PENNY IN OUR BOOK, BUT OF COURSE, WE ARE A LITTLE BIASED. SHE IS DUE TO PRODUCE HER CASPER CRIA IN SEPTEMBER, AND IT SHOULD BE A STUNNING COLORED ONE! Guinevere is a sweetheart; she is very unassuming and even has a soft hum. She did, however, figure out she was going to get alfalfa every day before she birthed, and she is not wanting to give up her special treat; she puts her chin on the gate in hopes I will come up with a bowl. How can one resist those beautiful dark eyes?! And you never want to leave the gate unlatched with her around.
Guin is not a large animal, weighing in at just over 140 pounds prior to birthing. But her first cria hit the ground at a respectable 14 pounds, and she has gained like a champion on Guin's great milk supply. The cria is a gorgeous little medium fawn female out of Diomedes born June 23rd. The fine fleece is super crimpy with a very soft handle. It is wh

Diomedes has that perfect combination of fineness and density with an indescribable brightness, and he is passing it on...in color! Several of his cria came in fawn last year, and this year we have one brown boy that takes your breath away -- everyone who walks in the barn notices him right away. Diomedes' male offspring seem to come out ready to breed...very self-possessed, and we found one breeding (no really!) at 10 months. The fleece judge for 2008 Alpacapalooza, Cheryl Gehly, agreed with us about Diomedes' 2007 blanket. She wrote "Wow! S

This little lady comes from a small dam, and she weighed only 14 pounds at birth. But profiting from her first-time dam's great milk supply, she soon caught up with the crias who came into the world in the 20 lb. range.
Having recently sheared her gorgeous fleece, we are more than pleased with what came off...very bright and crimpy, and of course, she is that Diomedes fine! She sports a lot of grey across her nose.
People always notice Lady in the pasture, partly because she has that super inquisitive nature of her grandsire, Knightly, making her the first one to the fence; and partly because she has that "look." Comments abound..."how cute that one is"..."how alert"..."so aware."
