Sephora is a lovely young female bred to DDF Peruvian Rico Suave. They gave us a stunning male cria 2009! She is re-bred to Rico Suave for a 2010 cria!
DDF Peruvian Rico Suave is an excellent example of long lasting fineness. Age 7 Rico's micron is at 17.1, SD 3.3, CV 19.3, %>30 0.4% and now at age 8, Rico still has a micron of 17.1, SD 3.5, CV 20.5, %>30 0.5. In 2008 we did a skin biopsy on Rico and the results are fantastic, "I found no fibers above 30 microns, which is unheard of, " states Dr. Norm Evans, "This male is the whole package based on my stats. He appears to have every desirable genetic trait that this industry is looking for. As the whole package, Rico Suave tests in the top 1% of near 1800 huacayas that I have tested." A son of Rico Suave! This boy has an extremely bright, soft, crimpy, extravagent fleece! He also has a boxy conformation.
We have found him to be the most similar, especially in fleece to his sire DDF Peruvian Rico Suave.
Romeo's third year fleece is still coming in very fine and bright with beautiful character and bundling. He also has great density and is full of fleece.
He has officially started his breeding career in the summer of 2012 and his first offspring are due in June and July.
