Nova is a nice white production female. With great mothering qualities and easy birthing, Nova is a good starter for the new alpaca breeder. Nova was bred to Rico Suave and they gave us a stunning female cria this 2008, NPA Cassiopeia. Cassiopiea did well in the 2009 show ring! This cria is so nice we held Nova's breeding until Rico returned from working in Ohio at The AlpacaRosa. It's another fabulous 2010 Rico girl!
DDF Peruvian Rico Suave is an excellent example of long lasting fineness. Age 7 Rico's micron is at 17.1, SD 3.3, CV 19.3, %>30 0.4% and now at age 8, Rico still has a micron of 17.1, SD 3.5, CV 20.5, %>30 0.5. In 2008 we did a skin biopsy on Rico and the results are fantastic, "I found no fibers above 30 microns, which is unheard of, " states Dr. Norm Evans, "This male is the whole package based on my stats. He appears to have every desirable genetic trait that this industry is looking for. As the whole package, Rico Suave tests in the top 1% of near 1800 huacayas that I have tested." This is outstanding! With his pedigree consisting of 6Peruvian Accoyo Elite and Peruvian Hemingway, you cannot go wrong with a breeding to Rico Suave.
Take a look at NPA's females bred to him for a 2010 cria. Once again Rico Suave is back in Ohio this 2009 for even more breedings! Rico returns home in May 2010! Contact Tim at 503-778-0246 for more information on reserving your 20
NPA Cassiopeia is one of Rico Suave's best! This female is conformationally correct and her fleece is amazing! Talk about brightness and FINENESS, along with density. She is the whole package.
Cassiopeia has done really well in all the shows that she has gone to, both in halter and fleece. We are very proud to have her as one of our foundation females!
We have choosen to breed her to BMF Taos' Zeppelin, because we feel that this combination should put out a stellar cria this 2011! Cassiopeia gave birth to a brown girl (NPA Tessla) on 9/29/2011 and she is gorgeous!
No doubt we repeated the breeding and Cassiopeia and Zeppelin have done it again! Cassiopeia gave birth to a stunning female on 3/15/2013! This cria looks almost identical to her full sister Tessla!
So of course we have definitely repeated the breeding back to Zeppelin for a 2014 offspring!
