Dougherty Creek's Aileen

Medium Fawn, 851592

Aileen was hand picked to be part of our foundation herd. She has buttery soft fleece with silky, deep bold crimp as well as perfect conformation. In 2006 Aileen sheared a total of 6.8 pounds, 3.7 alone was her blanket! Aileen is without a doubt one of our sweetest alpacas with a calm and content disposition. She has passed along each of her quality traits to her first four cria. Each delivery was smooth and uneventful and Aileen has proven to be a wonderful mother.

Aileen is now bred to our premiere herdsire Ferrari's Excel. Excel just posted amazing results from a recent skin biopsy. Ian Watt commented on Excel's "high density with good S/P figures". Including "a bonus feature in the below 4 micron SD for each of the two fiber types-a very desireable feature in any alpaca male of quality." Between the genetics and fleece characteristics of these two we have VERY high expectations. UPDATE: Aileen just delivered a stunning female DF cria! WOW!!! This cria is the ent

  Ferrari's Excel
    Beige, 30848757, 3/4 Peruvian

We know we picked a winner here! Our search for a herdsire that had tight crimp from end to end, incredible density and fineness, resulted in Excel. Excel clearly inherited these traits from his sire Sonora's Accoyo Ferrari, Peruvian full Accoyo. Digging back further you'll find Caligula and Victor on the family tree.

Here is a chance to get some West Coast genetics into your Midwestern herd. These genetics are extremely rare in the midwest! Come take a look at Excel, you won't be disappointed. Take advantage of Galpaca Farm's generous breedback offer with the purchase of any female to obtain an Excel breeding.

Excel's first 2010 cria just hit the ground and she is a stunning DF female.

GalPaca's Winnie Mae

Listed at $10500 by Mindy Huitt & Linda K. of Mount Horeb, WI

We were so excited when our Excel cria began to hit the ground. Just as we expected, Winnie Mae is the perfect combination of two of our finest alpacas. Winnie displays that kind of density, character and finess you only find in a few animals.

Winnie Mae is exceptionally dense, with a deep bold crimp drawn together by amazing bundles. When you part her fleece it seems as a light is shining due to the luster emanating from deep within.

Winnie has been bred to one of the country's premiere grey herdsires, our very own Tsunami.

We aren't certain we want to part with this girl but if you want to convince us, give us a call and make an offer!
