| | | Shannon was hand picked to be one of our foundation animals. We decided to go with quality, not quantity. She has amazing fleece with unbelievable density. In 2004, she brought home the Blue Ribbon from the AOBA Summer National Fleece Show. In 2006, she sheared a total of 8.5 pounds, 4.4 pounds in her blanket alone!
Shannon has had 4 picture perfect deliveries and has been a doting mother with plenty of milk. All three female cria have matched or exceeded Shannon's shear weight and fleece quality. Her current cria, a MSG male, looks to be a good candidate for the 2011 show circuit.
With her breeding to Principe Gris we were hoping to tap into her grey ancestry. GalPaca's Steel Blue did not disappoint. He is a striking MSG who has a commanding presence as well as eye catching fleece. This boy is something to keep an eye on. We were so pleased with this breeding that we will certainly be rebreeding her to Principae Gris.
Shannon also comes with two breed b | |

| | | We are proud to add this wonderful new stud to our group of quality herdsires. It is wonderful to see a grey stud that has a lot of crimp and is as soft as butter. It is also great to see this kind of frame on a grey stud. Principae has great proportions and we are eagerly waiting for him to start breeding in spring.
If you are interested in bloodlines, this guy is a McGwire son. McGwire is a full Accoyo rose grey male sired by the great Victor. On his dam side he has three generations of grey.
Principae has already done well in the show ring as well. He has won a Color Champion as a juvenile as well as a couple of blue ribbons.
We are sure that this guy is going to sire a lot of high quality grey offspring so call now to schedule a breeding this spring.
We recently had Principae biopsied through Alpaca Consulting USA and we were very pleased with the results:
Follicular density of 49.7 In Skin AFD of 19.35 S/P Ratio of 9:1

We bred one of our best Dams to a grey hoping for a grey... and we got him. GalPaca Farm's Silver Lightning, better known as Bolt, is that grey and more. We couldn't be happier with his quality and look. He is SOLID MSG with only one very small black spot. His markings are remarkable and make him a certain eye catcher! He has great density and a high frequency crimp that makes his fleece just as eye catching!
Bolt began his show career in 2011 and did very well in numerous tough classes. He was frequently referred to as clearly the densest in the class He is an outstanding male and we are very excited to have him on the farm.
