Benjamin has gorgeous 15 micron fleece with very long staple length. Last year his micron count was 16.1. We have changed feed and it seems that new feed has had a great effect on improving fleece. He has not been to a show because he has one crooked front leg. It is not genetic because his five full brothers and sisters all have straight legs. Our vet splinted his legs twice, but his mother would not let him nurse when his legs were splinted. So we had to remove the splints so he could get his nutrition. The quality of his fleece makes him a special alpaca. This is the bargain boy for fleece.

Benjamin would be a good herdsire, and should throw fine fleece.
