RAVADA'S Riga

White, 1143959, 1/2 Bolivian, 1/2 Peruvian

Riga is our 1/2 Accoyo female out of our Jackpot son, full Accoyo Jackson. She exhibits a very dense fleece with very independent lock structure. She passed this on to her first cria, Shylah.

Riga was bred to our Champion full Accoyo Rockstar son, Magnum, and she delivered a stunning 3/4 Accoyo male, Helix, in December of 2007. He is everything we hoped for - wonderful coverage, dense/lustrous fiber, and that sought after rolling skin. Helix took 2nd and 1st at his first two shows!

Riga was bred to our Champion Brown Macgyver son, Hotazel, for her 2009 cria. She gave us a beautiful show quality Lt. Brown male, Rowan. We'll be showing him spring of 2010. He has great fiber - greasy luster, great locks and plenty of density.

Riga is bred back to Hotazel for a July 2010 cria.

  Sierra Bonita's Macgyver's Hotazel
    Medium Brown, 1035117, Full Peruvian

Hotazel is our Champion Macgyver son and what more could you ask for? Not only is his sire one of the most recognized Suri herdsires in the U.S., but his dam, Picabo, stands as one of Sierra Bonita's premier Suri dams.

Hotazel has proven himself in the show ring under judges such as Mike Safley and Tim Lavan. Both commented on his tremendous luster, independent lock structure to the skin, and density (no doubt inherited from his full Accoyo grandsire, Bruxo.

We co-own Hotazel with Joann and Kristina Flegel of Dos Donas Alpaca Farm in St. Louis. Contact either farm to reserve your breeding.

UPDATE 3/10: HOTAZEL WINS GET OF SIRE AT THE 2010 MOPACA SHOW! OUR MT. TABOR'S ROWAN WAS PART OF THE WINNING LINE-UP! RAVADA'S POLARIS TAKES 1ST AND COLOR CHAMPION IN WHITE AS A JUVI. Betula is another great example of what Riga and Hotazel can produce. The last pairing, Rowan, won multiple championships in Brown as a Juvi and we sold him at 10 months of age.

Betula is one of the best crias born on our farm in 2011 - her luster just pops and she carries the head, coverage, and locks that we've learned to expect from Hotazel crias. She'll be shown at 7 shows during the Spring of 2011.

BT is co-owned with Mt. Tabor Alpaca Farm.
