Oh shocker! Another medium fawn clone from Ring of Fire. Though in this case the young lady in question has some other cool stuff running in her veins from her maternal side as well. Gabbana's dam, Flashy who is a daughter Royal Peruvian Elixir, was purchased by us from the Farm at Rainbow's End after watching her win the Judges' Choice award at the 2008 Empire Show. The harsh reality is that there's nothing like a good beat-down in the show ring to get one's attention. We always knew that Flashy was being acquired 1. to add obvious depth to our colored herd, and 2. to join a small stable of high-end colored females whose sole role, at least in the short-term, would be to breed with Ring of Fire. Needless to say that when Gabby was born we were tickled. A super dense and typey little tank of a girl from the moment she hit the ground, she is exactly what we had hoped for! We are quite frankly ambivalent about letting her go but offer her here nonetheless. Gabby just gave birth a few weeks ago, on 10/28, to an amazing Snowmass Matrix Majesty son that we are inclined to keep for now so high are we on his potential upside. Gabanna has now been bred back to Snowmass Elite Legend (and confirmed via US in early December) who though better known for his white progeny, has an equally strong record with his colored kids as well. Gabbana is the real deal: a high end show girl that is now a proven producer and is bred to the three time Futurity Herdsire of the Year!
