Natala is an older rose grey Chilean import with rose grey offspring. She was imported by Kathy Haneke (Haneke Enterprises--fiber mill) for her fine handle. She was bred to Hummingherd's Leviathan, a white Poseidon son, and Caligula and Hemingway grandson, who won the AOBA fleece show in white two years in a row. Natala's cria from this mating is a very lusty dark fawn female. Natala has been rebred to Legacy de Oro, our light brown Legacy Gold son who won Reserve Champion in the 2008 AOBA Nationals. This will most likely yield a rose grey cria of incredible beauty and quality. She's an old girl, but she's going strong and she's on a roll!

We feel very fortunate to have gotten the last outside breeding to Snowmass Legacy Gold before he sold for $500,000 in the 2006 Snowmass auction. We used that breeding on our multiple champion brown Royal Rose daughter, Alma Rose (daughter of our multiple champion Microsoft daughter, Mi Alma). The result was Legacy de Oro, a beautiful dark fawn male with gorgeous darkly lined eyes and blindingly lustrous fiber. This boy has been the eye-catcher in our pasture, and now he has gotten the attention of the judges as well. He radiates class and has no conformational flaws. De Oro proved his worth in the 2008 AOBA halter show in Salt Lake, taking Reserve Color Champion, the crown jewel of his show career thus far, which includes four blue ribbons and another color championship.
