Dark Rose Grey, 30881105, 1/8 Chilean, 7/8 Peruvian
Daisy Mayhem lives up to her name! She is lively, proud and full of mischief. She is conformationally correct with strong bone, a lovely head, and the most extreme leg coverage we have ever seen. We thought she was medium brown with a halo of white fibers in her ears. But when you spread her fiber, she now appears to be dark rose grey. And that fiber is super fine and dense with a tight and consistent crimp, reminiscent of her sire, Multi-Champion Quarry Ridge Zorro. Of course, the fact that her dam is a Royal Fawn daughter may have something to do with her outstanding characteristics.
Daisy Mayhem is always posing or prancing through the fields. She is one of a kind and we feel so blessed to have her as part of our farm.
UPDATE! Daisy had a stunning female cria on May 28th! Beuna Fe is a healthy bay black girl out of El Chono. It looks like Fe will have black legs and head, just like her grandfather, Neruda! WOW, I don't mean to name drop but this baby has it all!
UPDATE: A Chono cria, Staghorn Valley's Summer Elixir, won the Silver Gray championship at the North American Alpaca Show 2009.
A man of the future! This young macho has it all: Perfect conformation, fine, crimpy fiber, a head to die for and the personality of an angel. He has proven himself in the show ring, never placing lower than 2nd and taking the Reserve Championship at the AOBA Nationals 2005. We are looking for him to pass on his flawless conformation and the incredible fiber that his famous father, Patagonia's NERUDA, is known for.
El Chono's first crias have been born! They are dense, soft and COLORFUL: True black, bay black, rose gray, silver gray, dark fawn, medium fawn and one black headed dark silver - just like Neruda - only female.
WOW! We are so excited about this girl. If you are breeding for color this is the girl that you want! She is only getting better with age. She showed at 10 month at the NAAS and took a 4th in a class of 10 bay black females. Six months later she showed at the Big E as indefinate dark and took a first! Wade Geese evaluated her and liked her very much and feels that she is going to be a dark silver gray once she is done developing!
Color is the one word you would use to describe Fe! Her mother, Daisy Mayhem, is out of black QR Zorro, a champion son of PHAR Traveler and Peruvian Elever. She is also a granddaughter of Peruvian Royal Fawn! Fe's father, El Chono is also a champion as well and is a son of NEURDA! Holy cow! Are you drooling yet?! Don't miss out on this beautiful girl, I have a feeling that she will not last for long! She will also come with a breeding for when she is ready to one of our heardsire, Madigan. Madigan is a black, multi blue ribbon winner and reserve color champ out of a Dark Shadow son, Grand River Mezcal. Wow, that is going to be a beautiful baby!
