6-30-11 Update!
Falcon Lair's first cria arrived & SHE has very fine Black Fleece with an energetic personality! Her dam, Fanci Serafina, is light brown (16.6, 2.9, 17.5 >30 0.2) & bred just once.
Sera, out of a grey dam & a white sire, has produced fawn/light brown even when bred to black in the past.
7-4-11, Cria #2 Arrives, Raptor by Falcon Lair. What Incredible Fleece & Substantial Bone!!
His fleece is Bright Black with Dense Bundles!!
The dam, Renea Dee, is Modern Dark Rose Grey & has produced a Light Fawn Champ in the past.
Renea Dee also bred to Falcon just once.
*10-22-11 Update; Rocky Knoll Alpacas had to have Raptor for their Breeding Program & selected Renea Dee too!
7-14-11, Cria #3 arrives; She's Black with Fleece Oh-So-Soft, Bright & Bundled! Mama is medium silver grey & her last cria was beige; sired by Falcon's fawn sire, Peruvian Valentino.
Danko's genes are coming through Strong for Falcon kids!

From Day One we knew Falcon was special.
We had never encountered a black fleece as dense as Falcon's.
His fleece is soft with good architecture & bundling.
Falcon, at 11 months old, sheared 7.9#'s (4.3# blanket) & the following year (2010) was the Shearer's Favorite.
Falcon is a head turner in the pasture.
He is the complete package, Fleece; & Lots of It, Conformation, Balanced, Strong Boned, Presence & overall, Very Well Put Together.
After Falcon arrived, we repeated the same breeding of AJ's Peruvian Valentino with Danko's Bonita Negra & got almost a mirror image with Valentino's Black Eagle in 2009 (SOLD).
