| | | Vienna is Madelyn's (the former herd matriarch) oldest daughter and like her mother is very protective and nurturing with her herd. Vienna's daughter from 2007, Orchestra, looks like a medium fawn version of Madelyn, which I figure to be a good thing. Madelyn was imported from Australia, and I believe Madelyn was out of Bolivian imports to Australia.
Vienna's last daughter was in 2008 from Incan King. Epiphany is DRG with a muted tuxedo pattern, and a solid blanket of course, thanks to King. Looking for another nice grey Fall 2009.

| | | Is he really throwing grey out of brown? Is he really erasing white-faces? Is he really throwing completely solid greys? Yes, yes & YES!! See the list below.
King is a well-mannered breeding machine. He was sired by Snowmass' "finest peruvian rose grey" (17.9 mc at 7yrs), Incan Magic [807426], and grandsired by the famous Zorro PC. What really sets him apart are his fiber consistency and uniformity of color from neck to tail & his ability to ERASE white-faces and blanket contamination. Don't let his white face fool you, this guy completely defies the conventional knowledge about color genetics. He throws either a solid colored cria with a black muzzle, ears & feet with bandit eyes OR a solid MSG blanket with a "classic grey" head and tuxedo OR a completely solid (head to toe) DRG and 3 of 4 attempts has erased the dam's white-face completely!!
Consider breeding him to your female for his astonding dark fiber genetics alone. He is absolutely proven to throw fine, well-

Check out her histogram - very low SD and CV values! That's what you're looking for in these solid greys.
If you're a grey breeder, this is one for you to take a close look at. With her spot-free fleece, you know that making a great, high value fleece on offspring is much more likely with a great girl like this!
Epiphany is out of Incan King, who has been throwing the much loved MODERN GREY look. Epiphany's mother Vienna was a dark silver grey with a tuxedo pattern, and King managed to reduce that pattern to just a little strip on Epiphany's nose. Her blanket is spot free, and she has the lovely soft and dense fleece structure that King stamps on his kiddos.
MODERN DARK SILVER GREY (check out her "Shorn" picture). Just some spots of white on her muzzle, otherwise SOLID grey from top knot to bottom of her feet. Soft, crimpy, dense... this is what you want if you're trying to breed for valuable grey fleece. Her outside is obviously tip faded, but when the fleece is spun up, the color is like a deeply roan-burgandy grey -- it is GORGEOUS YARN.
Third generation female from Osage Alpacas grey breeding program. When she was born, it was quite the "Epiphany" when we discovered she was solid grey, because she looks brown on the outside... much like other "modern" greys. Like her father, who showed as rose and silver grey in his first two years, she turned decidely towards being silver grey as she matured.
