Kelowna's Salsa Sass
White, 1312379, Full Peruvian
Sassy is an outstanding female and has produced some nice offspring including Sumaq Valley's Tenderheart who we have retained in our herd, and SVA William's Sweet 'n Sassy as pictured to the right. Sassy was a multiple ribbon winner including GRAND CHAMPION Huacaya Female at Alpacafest 2005. We have decided to sell Sassy as we also own her full sister. Both females are very dense and incredibly fine and have maintained that fineness. Sassy stayed under 20 microns until her 4th shearing, and was still only 21.7 microns in 2009.
Sassy's sire is Jolimont Peruvian Viracocha who is known for throwing fineness. On her dam's side, she's got Coyo Destini and the dam of Kelowna's Sundance Kid, Jolimont Peruvian T'ika so this is a proven, consistent line.
Sassy had a Kung Pao son in 2011 named SVA Kung Pao's Confucious. Confucious is now weaned and will be the only Kung Pao son for sale until next fall. Sassy comes rebred to Accoyo America Kung Pao for a May 2012 cr
Kung Pao is a superb son sired by the legendary Accoyo El Nino. "His compact size, striking well covered head with a short muzzle, and extremely dense high character, microbundled fleece are a near replica of his sire" as described in the 2009 Parade of Champions Auction Catalogue! Kung Pao also has a highly uniform fleece through to his belly, shoulder, hip and right up his neck and into his topknot, just like his sire. His fineness (14.5 micron 1st fleece, 16.9 micron 2nd fleece) combined with his density are phenomenal!
We have decided to allow five breedings to Kung Pao in 2010. Once those breedings are sold, Kung Pao will be exclusive to Sumaq Valley Alpacas.
El Nino's accomplishments are well known - numerous Herdsire of the Year and Get of Sire awards, but Acacia, Kung Pao's dam, has a proven show record as well. Some of her ribbons include:
1st - (class of 9) MAPACA Eastern Jubilee 2nd - 2006 Futurity Show and Sale 3rd - (class of 13) 2006 Al
Confucious comes with an impressive pedigree including PCA Accoyo El Nino, PCA Hemingway-Accoyo Nautilus, Coyo Destini, and Jolimont2 Peruvian Viracocha. His conformation is flawless and his fibre is looking very promising.
Confucious has a sire and dam with very strong fibre traits. Both have exceptional fineness and density. Both have a tight, high amplitude crimp style. Both are maintaining very good fineness. Kung Pao is sired by the well known El Nino, now deceased, and Sassy is a GRAND CHAMPION female, so you've got proven genetics on both sides of his pedigree!
UPDATE: Confucious was 3rd at the 2012 CNASF right behind his half sister's son, Kung Fu! Not only do these two boys share the same sire, but Kung Fu's grandma is Confucious' dam so they are closely related showing the consistency in this line. Confucious is carrying an extremely dense fleece with very good fineness and perfect conformation!
WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR NEW BLOODLINES ON OUR FARM! IF YOU HAVE A MALE OF COMPARABLE QUALITY YOU WOULD BE INTERESTED IN TRADING, SEND US AN EMAIL!
