		Samoya (aka Mom), a 1998 import, is a dream dam with an abundance of milk and easy births. She’s been the picture of health since coming here in 2004, never needing any medical care to date. And at nearly 16 years of age, she still regularly pronks with the young ones! Her cria have included a dark rose grey multi and a dark brown, sprinkled with medium silver grey. Her son, Corrigan Gold of HNP, has earned the “reward” of being our fawn herdsire, blessing us with lustrous, lustrous, well locked cria. Cory's latest histogram taken at 4.5 years of age was 22.2 microns, with an SD of 4.7. And he simply Glows!!

		We simply call this stately male Jim. He has that presence we all want in a herdsire. Jim is true black with medium silver grey dispersed throughout his fiber. The complete package comes to mind when watching him. When Jim’s studly stature and color is coupled with him being Full Bolivian, you have one stand out and rare herdsire. Jim is a spirited male who welcomes his neck rubs from me. He’s always alert and ready for whatever may come his way. The macho stance seen in his picture on his listing page, that’s Jim at a moments notice. Take a look. He lives in harmony with two large geldings and another intact male.

I like Murphy. He has that something that always warms me when I am with him or watching him. I am not keeping Murphy for breeding simply because I want more luster and more distinct locks in a herdsire’s fiber. His demeanor and proud stature are clearly a cut above most males. His confirmation and body are sound and strong and pleasing to the eye – no negatives here. He has been in the top of health and vitality since his birth, weighing in a 19.8 lbs. His dam produces an amazing amount of milk for her thriving babes and is a strong female in the top of health.

If reality didn’t demand that I keep a balance with the “purposes” and numbers of alpacas living on this little farm, I would keep Murphy and work with him with an eye toward him being my friend and a PR alpaca. I have spent a good amount of happy time just hanging out with the young boys here. Murphy is a strong and easy going fella. He doesn’t pick fights, but doesn’t back down either. Although he was introduced to the halter as a babe, I didn’t truly work with him until he was well over a year and a half old. He wasn’t too fond of having this thing attached to him and chose to show his displeasure by only taking tiny steps for the longest time, and then only if I really coerced him to do so. We’ll just keep at it in a casual, slooow walk through the park sort of way until we fully reach the goal of understanding each other on this point.

He is currently living with three other young males and a 4.5 year old intact male. The harmony of this group is a dream. I expect it will evolve as the young ones get older, though they have already established their places in their subherd.

Murphy is looking for a home where he is valued and respected for the qualities he possesses and shares. I’d be happy to share what I know about Murphy and his value.
