Athena was selected as part of our foundation herd because of her strong confirmation and quality blood line. Athena's father, Pichincha's Peruvian Zampano, is son of Peruvian Hemingway. Athena has proven to be an excellent breeder and mother. Her first cria was a female that has developed effortlessly while on the farm and her second cria was another girl who took 6th place at the Carolina Alpaca Celebration in a tough white class. Her third cria is a beauty. She is out of Sir Accoyo Killian. The best yet, she took a 4th place in halter at the Virginia Classic, youngest in class at 6 months and one day. She also took a blue at the 2008 Mapaca fleece show out of 8 entries. Athena just gave us # 5, a little light brown girl that looks like her blue ribbon winning sister Maria. We can't wait to get this little girl to the show ring.

We are very excited to add Franz as the corner stone of our breeding program. Franz is a compact full accoyo well balanced male with excellent fleece characteristics and coverage. He is conformationally correct with straight legs and a perfict bite. His fiber exhibits a broad bold accoyo crimp style with a wonderful soft handle, extreme staple length and is very uniform throughout. His sire is PPPeruvian El Moustachio and his grandsire on the maternal side is PPeruvian Felix, both deceased. Franz throws color! Franz has produced a dark fawn from a dark fawn dam and a medium fawn from a white dam. We are very excited with the breeding possibilities this gives us with Franz.
