Butternut's fleece has the tiny bundles that we are looking for in our alpaca industry. She has finess and density. She has a sweet personality and is very curious.
She is the daughter of Bonus, one of our foundation herd dams, and the daughter of Benchmarks' Midnight Rider!
Butternut gave birth to her first cria on Sept 2. The sire, Accoyo Cordero's Pirate of Peru 03 gave her a beautiful little female that came out white with a small black spot on her lip. We have named her Pirate's Wild Sunflower and she is doing great! | |

You know what kind of competition there is for white animals, so only the best should go on to become Herd Sires. Pirate is one of those boys. He is covered from head to toe with bundles-tiny little locks-of uniform crimp. It offers the high frequency crimp with low amplitude. The character is prominent and the handle is wonderful.
His fleece is just half of the package. Pirate is an impressive boy with good bone, topline, coverage, and size. Just looking at him standing in the pasture starts the wheels turning on how he will advance your breeding program.
He is the son of Accoyo Cordero and Pirate carries the Accoyo traits combined with the fineness and elite fleece characteristics from his Dam.
