GRAZING HILLS PANDORA

Medium Brown, 1193411, 1/2 Chilean, 1/2 Peruvian

Pandora just gave us her third female cria from Diomedes! The pairing of the two has been the most consistent on the farm...great conformation and coverage, incredibly fine fleece...and all girls!! The latest is little DF beauty. Pandora's first girl, Miss Emma, was sold to the UK. Miss Scarlet, cria number two, will be listed shortly since we are selling the herd.

Pandora is in our "forever favorites" category here on the farm. In addition to having a gorgeous fleece with a very uniform crimp and super density, she is a sweetheart. We cannot readily tell when she is pregnant as she is one of two females that stays super easygoing, humble and unassuming. We can walk up and put an arm around her at any time, and she likes us to scratch behind her ears. What a delight!
Pandora has only been bred to Diomedes because the production has been so stellar.

You've seen the ads from Pacific Crest..."For lasting fineness...breed to the Accoyo America's Nautilus line." We couldn't agree more! And now is your chance to own one of the line! Diomedes has that perfect combination of fineness and density with an indescribable brightness, and he is passing it on...in lights and in color! First histograms on his offspring are fabulous! Of the 11 that we tested in 2010, all but three fell under 17 microns (with those 3 at 17.2, 19.1, 19.2,) and the SD's ranged from 2.9 to 3.7. AND SECOND HISTOGRAMS FOLLOW SUIT...OF THE NINE YEARLINGS TESTED IN 2010, ALL BUT TWO WERE UNDER 18 MICRONS.

The fleece judge for 2008 Alpacapalooza, Cheryl Gehly, agreed with us about Diomedes' 2007 blanket. She wrote "Wow! Simply spectacular..." and awarded him 20 OUT OF 20 FOR FINENESS AND HANDLE, 9.5 OUT OF 10 FOR CHARACTER, AND 5 OUT OF 5 FOR DENSITY. In addition, Diomedes won the COLOR CHAMPION, BEST CRIMP, and JUDGE'S CHOICE awards. Naturally, we are th

Wow...we are excited to get the fleece off this little lady...only a few weeks to go! Miss Lucy was the last cria born in 2011, but she has made up for it by growing quickly. She is very spunky and playfully bounces around the barnyard. Besides being cute, she is sporting a VERY dense, crimpy fleece. She has two full sisters...the MF Miss Emma (sold to the U.K.) had a superb 1st histogram AFD 15.0, SD 3.2 and her 2nd one was AFD 18.0, SD 3.9! Miss Scarlett's 1st numbers were AFD 16.8, SD 4.0. We expect Miss Lucy to follow suit!

Stay tuned for photos of a shorn Miss L! We missed our deadline of June 1, but we expect to get photos of all our adorable little ones very soon.
