Raina is another beautiful example of what happens when we match our herdsire Eye of the Storm and Gwens. She is absolutely covered from head to toe with ringlets of gorgeous fawn fiber. She has a high amplitude crimp style and the staple length is quite long. That staple length played an important part in her winning the BLUE RIBBON AND RESERVE COLOR CHAMPION banner at the 2009 COASTAL CLASSIC ALPACA SHOW. She gave birth to her first cria in June 2011, a beautiful fawn girl sired by multiple color champion Snowshoe Aristides.

SNOWSHOE Aristides is a large macho with dense and very fine fiber with high amplitude, high frequency crimp. His fiber exhibits excellent uniformity over the body. Aristides has correct conformation and a typey head. He has a calm temperament.

Aristides has excelled in the show ring in the ever-competitive white male class with 3 championship banners and 3 reserve champion banners. Ari turned two in May 2010 and settled his first females soon after. He is proving to be an aggressive and dependable breeder.

Aristides' first crias were born this year and are proving to be all we expected: healthy and vigorous with dense, crimpy fiber. We can't wait to see a few of them in the show ring next spring.

We are determined to keep our breeding fees at affordable levels and have priced Aristides at $2000 for 2011. In addition, we are offering for sale a number of females that have been bred to Ari.
