Accoyo Freesia was made at Heart's Desire farm. She is the product of two Accoyo imports, Aletha, who was imported in 1996. Aletha received an 8 out of 10 ranking with the comments "good fleece", "good crimp" and got a + for density. She spent her entire reproductive career at North West Alpacas / Heart's Desire Farm.
Freesia's sire is Accoyo Felix. Felix is one of the legendary Accoyo imports who has had a recognized influence on improving the quality of our national herd. Other than being an import yourself (and those are getting older and older and rarer and rarer), being the product of two alpacas right off Don Julio's Ranch is the truest Accoyo you can get! Freesia is out of two excellent quality imports.
She is a full sister to Accoyo Goldsmith who stand studs at Cameo Rose Alpacas with a breeding fee of $5000. He has close to 200 cria on the ground. Goldsmith has produced black cria, so we believe there is a darn good chance Freesia can produce black cria as well.
Freesia has been bred to our own Accoyo Invasion whose show record is nothing short of impressive. He has 8 championships, 16 blue ribbons, The Judge's Choice Fleece Award and The Best Brightness Award. He also has proven that he passes incredible fleece to his offspring. His cria have over 20 championships, 6 Best Brightness Awards, 2 Best Crimp Awards and The Judge's Choice Fleece Award. He and Freesia should produce a knock-out cria in 2013.
We are offering Freesia in a package with Accoyo Amazona, a Caligula daughter who is bred to Accoyo Stratosphere (his cria have more than 40 championships) and Accoyo Gold Standard, a fawn blue ribbon fawn Express son for just $10,500.
