Beri Bleu is the product of grey Blueberry and Patagonia's grey AOBA color champion, Kaspa. Her extremely fine fiber coupled with her uniform grey color made her attract considerable attention at shows in 2006.
Beri Bleu and Marathon just had a beautiful light silver grey female (5/14/10). She has outstanding crimp and density, a very soft hand, and she has "the look". Beri Bleu's grey female makes the total three grey cria born on our farm, Spring,'10, to Marathon and three grey dams.
EIGHT TIME CHAMPION--all in halter in full fleece! Marathon has ended his show career on the top as one of the best colored full Accoyos in this country. He exhibits incredible fleece with high amplitude, well-bundled, long staple length fiber.
Marathon truly has fiber-to-be-seen...and felt. His extremely bright, soft fleece has an outstanding hand that has impressed people across the nation! To describe his fleece as "new generation" or "elite" is definitely in keeping with its qualities.
Marathon has proven himself to be a great breeding male. As his cria start to arrive and be shown (with good success), we are amazed at the variety of colors he is producing from a wide range in maternal colors.
Marathon's variety of colors includes true black and grey. We now have three grey cria, including a grey male (full Peruvian, 1/2 Accoyo)born 3/21/2010 (from a Nic Nac daughter), a grey female born 5/16/2010 (from a Patagonia Kaspa daughter), and a rose grey female bor
Blue is a beautiful dark steel grey male with the most amazing crimp structure. His Accoyo crimp is very uniform, has a rich luster to it and he is fine. He is a medium sized male at this point with time for growth left at only 10 months old.
Marathon, his sire, has been the father of many champions at all 3 farms that co-own him, including Alpacas of the Ark. Blue's dam had a female in 2010 that also has Marathon as the sire, and that female also had incredible crimp and fineness. She was added in 2011 to our foundation herd, too nice to sell.
Add this boy to your herd for wonderful fleece. He has some great genetics and his fleece fineness and structure would be an asset to any herd.
News Flash: His pen mate and same sire brother,Thor, just took the Color Champion at the Great Midwest Alpaca Festival, Madison, WI. Great Genetics!!!
