Yia Yia Dia is the perfect example of what Ultima can do. Yia Yia Dias Dam, was a dark full Chilean production girl and Ultima really fined her up and increased density and character.
Yia Yia Dia has had her first cria this year, and it was a wonderful white girl that we are planning on retaining to replace her dam in our herd. Yia Yia is a great mother and her cria has grown very quickly. We are very excited about the cria and can not wait to get her histogram back. The cria received her dams fineness and has an incredibly long staple.
Currently, Yia Yia is bred back to our Excel. We have seen a couple of Excel crias out of Ultima dams and we have loved everyone of them. There is something about crossing those Hemingway and Victor lines that is like magic!
Update, Yia Yia delivers wonderful female cria sired by XL. We are leaving her open to get back to a spring breeding schedule.
Yia Yia Dia sells with a breeding to any male owned by Kinney Va
We knew we had something special from the beginninig. Bo has always had "the look". He carries himself proudly and correctly. Bo's fiber was beautiful within hours of his birth. As a mature male his fiber is consistent in fineness, density, exceptional staple length, with excellent crimp, bundling, and brightness. He is conformationally correct. Bo simply was born to be a herdsire who will leave his mark on the industry.
Bo carries the genetics of Peruvian Camilio and PCA Peruvian Microsoft through his dam, BHA Peruvian Heavens Hope. His sire is Lilly's Accoyo Dupioni. Dupioni's sire is Elitus whose genetics are extremely rare in the U.S.
3-09 NEWS: Ian Watt's comments about Bo's skin biopsy report data: "excellent male...elite alpaca fleece traits...quite possibly the best balanced male tested by us...fiber population figures and secondary to primary ratio [S:P 13.2:1] are the best we have tested for the density...Cv of the mean diameter is the best record
Cottonelle is sired by the great Dupionis Bocelli (affectionately referred to as BO), a spectacular multiple champion white male from North Country alpacas. Bo won many of his championships competing with some of the best genetics in the country. He is known for his amazing character, well organized fleece, and staple length. However, one of his strongest traits is his amazing uniformity both within the staple and across the blanket. When you open Cottelless fleece you will see Bos impact first hand!
Cottenelles dam, Yia Yia Dia, is part of our white foundation herd. Yia Yia Dia is the perfect production female; you dont even know she is there. She is never sick or thin, drops wonderful crias and feeds them well and breeds right back with one breeding. Then she goes back in the herd until she drops another amazing cria the next year!
Cottonelle is the columniation of many of the countries best genetics with Accoyo and Alianza influences. She sports names like Don Julio, Camilio, White Lightning, Accoyo Elitus, Hemingway, Accoyo Dupioni, and Peruvian Microsoft. With genetics like that, you can see why she is so good and so difficult for us to part with.
Cottonelle is ready to breed and sells with a breeding to any one of Kinney Valley Alpacas males; we would suggest Showtime, or Excel!
