Reco (long 'e' & long 'o') is a son of BV AMADEUS, who is a medium fawn son of the infamous 4Peruvian Black Magic 6025. Amadeus' dam's blood introduces some uncommon genetics with two suri parents, Mister Lothario (a full Peruvian medium fawn and white stud and 4Peruvian Susurro 6701, a white suri dam). This infusion of suri genetics is likely what has caused Reco to be blessed with such soft, silky, high-sheen fiber with long staple, because huacayas out of suris tend to pass these traits along, making their fiber highly desirable by fiber mills and artisans.
On the maternal side of his pedigree, Reco's dam is a very flashy girl in Bay Black, White and Medium Brown - Her name's SA Peruvian Parfait, off Stachowski's farm and a daughter of 6Peruvian Black Out 5010 IMPR98! Wow! Reco's lineage is nicely stacked.
Says Pat, "Reco's a gorgeous male with crimp, softness and density." In fact, when I asked Pat what one word would most aptly describe Reco, she immediately responded with "SOFT." That's what you want!
When I pressed a little further and asked her what she feels stands out most about Reco, she said "His color," and I agree with her - it really is lovely, isn't it?
"Reco has a wonderful disposition," added Bud. "He doesn't have to be top of the pecking order and falls in line at about #2 or #3 in his herd group."
Reco has thus far produced two offspring, one of each sex and both possessing his markings and exceptionally ample, soft fiber, a lot of leg coverage (especially on his son) and "a lot of facial coverage, too," says Pat.
