Sweet Serenade was appropriately named….Lorelei tells us she is “sweet, patient and very mothering.” She’s a “good mom – very attentive and protective but not aggressive or confrontational.” Perfect…

Serenade is a daughter of the outstanding true black herdsire, Bolivian Black Thunder, and her maternal grandsire is Calicho (a deep dark brown Bolivian stud). If you’re looking to infuse some top level, Bolivian diversity to your herd, in gorgeous color, then Sweet Serenade is the ticket!

When I asked Ardell and Lorelei what they feel stands out the most about Sweet Serenade, they replied, “She delivers great cria year after year.” Even better!

Sweet Serenade, despite her less than aggressive temperament, she finds herself placed near the top of the herd pecking order and is, in a word, the “matriarch.” She carries herself with dignity and grace in that role, naturally.

Sweet Serenade has a knockout brown coloring, with grey spotting on each hip!

Sweet Serenade is about “average” when it comes to haltering, leading and being handled during herd health procedures; however, when I asked the Judds if there is anything outstanding, negative or positive, that should be disclosed about this alpaca, their immediate response was “Every year Serenade gives us great cria.”
